At 18 years old, Roopa took her first steps. We first met Roopa at summer camp in 2015 when she could not walk. Our supporters rallied to fund the surgeries she needed.
In 2023, Roopa had her first surgery, followed by a second procedure and many follow-up visits. She progressed from wheelchair to walker, then to crutches, and finally to walking independently. Her determination and our community’s support made this transformation possible.
